Opening October 10 2008 from 22h (following the meeting of shorts)

In a burst of banners where the cross of sand lined with lily flowers alongside the flagship Rainbow and gonfanon marked the footprint of the bear, the forecastle juts armed iron, helmet raised and waved the sword after his powerful arm.

Gilles de Rais of the doors clears Orleans. He walks in the aftermath of Jeanne la Pucelle which was a major battle companions ...

The scene is beautiful, man, too. It takes shape gradually while refined features and the stylus on the palette and merges superimposed layers and pixels.

Outside, the sun is there, a sun in the southern island where the warriors are not flank metal geometric tattoos but ...

In Auckland in Orleans, there is finally one step, a window of time, an invitation surprise and this poster to advertise the animated film festival for gays and lesbians that the Gay & Action lesbian - Loiret (Gagli) organizes 10, 11, 12 October.

I am fortunate to know Christophe Jannin past few years and privilege to introduce here the exposure of a friend but also a versatile artist who is defined primarily as an illustrator, with all the nobility that in this term.

Formed in the eighties at the Ecole des Beaux Arts de Reims, Christophe eventually be hampered in its creativity by the limitations of the academic burden of some of his teachers and it is among alumni that will refine his apprenticeship and then assert its style. Holds a Master of History of Art in medieval architecture in 1991, he went missions food before having the opportunity to integrate a few years later, a computer company in Paris.

That, in the capital, that proves his talent and really takes off. The line of Christopher, his men virile, robust, sensual and bearded, so-called "Bears" in the rainbow family are beginning to talk about them and mark minds.

Exhibitions followed, orders and publications as well. Parisian life in the gay has its codes, its demands, its own logic, his ability to wear well.
In 2004, the life of Christopher Jannin takes a new turn and led New Zealand a year later. Land of the Long White Cloud, there is no party in exile, no. Just a closer personal values that underpin all of his work and the center which include labor, humility and humanism.

The festival Orleans offers a set of drawings made since 2007 in the other side of the world. A particularly abundant in inspiration.
It may discover work that extends the symbolic first reading in any sensual curves, heat colors, caring people who represent magnificently - in the way of Gilles de Rais brandishing his sword in victory-this " spirit bear "so dear to me and could not find a better ambassador.
